Producing as Creative Practice
with Patricia Allison
Cozy up at the Great Canadian Theatre Company in Ottawa, Ontario for a special two part workshop and community networking series hosted by Generator’s Patricia Allison. These sessions will take place on December 10th, 2025 and January 15th, 2026 from 6:30 - 8:30pm. Sign up for one or both. Each session will have similar formats but cover different material.
The sessions will cover:
- Grounding and Creative Exercises
- Integration of findings into Producing Practices
- Round Table Discussion
- A walkthrough of Generator’s seminal resource, ArtistProducerResource.com

About Generator: Generator is a mentoring, teaching, and innovation incubator that expands the skills, tools, and competencies of independent artists, producers, leaders, and communities. It is geographically located in Toronto (Takoronto) on Treaty 13 but serves individuals Canada-wide through its workshops and open-source resource ArtistProducerResource.com.
About The Facilitator: Patricia Allison (she/her) is a member of the Leadership at Generator as the Director of Communications and lead producer of ArtistProducerResource.com. When she’s not updating websites or coaching one-on-ones she is a director, choreographer, playwright, podcaster, and producer in Toronto passionate about its Independent Arts scene. She holds an MFA in Dance and is a Dora-award winning Director. She lives in a body that has Multiple Sclerosis and navigates the cognitive and physical realities that go along with that. Patricia grew up in Ottawa. She is a graduate of Canterbury High School's Dance Program and was a keen participant in the Canadian Improv Games. The first Fringe show she ever participated in was the Ottawa Fringe in 2003.
