Touch Tours

A touch tour is an opportunity for blind and low-vision audience members to come prior to a performance to learn more about the show and familiarize themselves with the design of the space, costumes and props ahead of the show itself.

What are GCTC touch tour’s like?

Our touch tours occur on the second Saturday of the production schedule. Tours will begin at noon, followed by a complimentary tea/coffee and some social time prior to the performance which begins at 2 pm. During a touch tour, audiences are given the opportunity to hear the plot synopsis, set and character descriptions, and to touch some set, props and costume elements from the performance.

Where do they take place?

They happen at our theatre on 1233 Wellington St. W. in Ottawa’s Hintonburg neighbourhood.
