Why I chose this play

“When this production ran at Black Theatre Workshop in Montreal, it broke their box office records, proving that Dr. Martin Luther King's work is as relevant as ever. I am drawn to the questions about the fear and doubt that dwell even in the greatest champions.”

Stages & Pages

The Ottawa Public Library and GCTC have come together in a special partnership to help you explore the themes and topics raised in each play during GCTC’s 2018-2019 season.

OPL’s Readers’ Advisory staff have read the scripts for each of the plays, and recommended resources to further the exploration of their themes. The resources will only add to the experience of seeing the show, and can be explored before or after being part of the audience.

Prologue Series

The Prologue Series continues to bring exciting discussions and unique experiences to GCTC that take us into the creative process of the plays on our stage.

The latest edition is January 23, free to the public, and will start at 6:45 pm in the GCTC lobby. The Prologue will feature a stimulating panel discussion hosted by Stefan Keyes and featuring artists involved in the production.
