GCTC's Fritzi Gallery presents:
Producting artworks to accompany The Number 14 was a natural fit for videographer Chris Brown and visual artist Stuart Kinmond. Brown has shot hours of video from Ottawa buses, documenting the hypnotic movement of transitioning cityscapes. Kinmond's digital images -- colours, faces, bus parts, graphics, fashion, bodies, signage, storefronts -- are a work in motion, like the daily journey of a bus.
Chris Brown's videos has supported community-building from Ottawa to Attawapiskat and overseas. His photos transform everyday locations into idealized space. Now, on bus routes and transitways, he explores and celebrates the traveling shot.
Stuart Kinmond is a visual artist, working currently in photo-based images and digital drawing. He has had more than a dozen exhibitions in Ottawa-Gatineau, as well as Montreal and most recently in San Francisco. This is his second exhibition at the Fritzi Gallery.
