Translated by Tom Stoppard
Directed by Lise Ann Johnson
Philippe, Gustave and Henri are living out their days in a veterans’ home in France in 1959. Henri is afflicted with a gammy leg. Gustave suffers from agoraphobia. And Philippe passes out because of a piece of shrapnel lodged in his brain. Desperate to recapture their glory days, their friendship grows as they plan their escape. Will today be the day? Will they make it to the poplars over the hill and beyond? Or will they stay on their terrace and wait for tomorrow? Winner of the 2006 Lawrence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.
A matinee performance has been added on Wednesday, June 23 at 2:00pm for the special price of $25.00
