It Happens at the Theatre

Where can you buy fabulous unique jewelry, clothing, sweet treats and amazing crafts in one of the most interesting buildings in the city? Right here at the Irving Greenberg Theatre Centre (Holland and Wellington; home of GCTC) last Saturday (first Saturday of each month). That’s when Urban Crafter moves in to transform the theatre lobbies into a market place with 20 of the best artisans in the city. This month vendors like Bake Mob, Emily’s Tree, Strut and Really Horrible Enterprises (among others) greeted more than 400 shoppers. The next show is June 2nd  and runs from 10 am to 2 pm. Each month sees a portion of the vendors change, so make sure to come and see the new vendors, have a coffee at the Viva Loca Cafe and pick up a brochure of the line up for GCTC’s 2012-2013 season.
GCTC is planning a number of fun events around next season as well over the summer so watch our web site for details. As a matter of fact this Saturday May 12th we are thrilled to  be participating in the Tulip Festival in Parkdale Park. Stop by our table for information on our season as well as treats and a chance to make fun of our “fat ballerina angels”
Hope to see you there.
